Dr. Bill Liljemark received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota where he graduated with the highest honors. He also received his Orthodontic Specialty Certificate and PhD in Microbiology from the University of Minnesota.
As a full time faculty member and professor at the University of Minnesota, his research focused on the etiology of dental caries and periodontal disease. He also participated in the administration of the school as the director of the Division of Orthodontics, Department Chair of the four departments, Associate Dean of Academic and Student Affairs, and as Dean of the school.
Dr. Liljemark grew up in Minneapolis. He spends the majority of his free time with his wife, GayLynn. They have two adult children and two wonderful grandchildren. He enjoys many outdoor activities such as downhill and cross country skiing, sailing, bicycling, hunting, and fishing.
